What is it? The WCO is an international organization whose function is the facilitation of trade between member states through the simplification and standardization of customs practices. The WCO was established in 1952 as the Customs Co-operation Council. This name was then changed in 1994 to the World Customs Organization. Today WCO provides regulations and standards to 169 Customs administrations worldwide.
